Crochet Pattern: Crochet Cukado Mermaid Tail

For the Cukado mermaid tail we first crochet the fins and then the body. After that we also crochet a ribbon and attach it to the waist band. If you like you can set down the fin and the waist band in color or attach some decorations.

Crochet Ribbon (1x)

The ribbon for the mermaid tail we crochet with just one row with chain stitches.

  • yellow:
  • 1st row: 126 chain stitches = 126 stitches
  • cut the thread, pull off the loop

Attach Ribbon

Next we can pull the ribbon through the upper edge of the mermaid tail. The ribbon sits between the half double crochet stitches (US!) of the penultimate round.

Use a crochet hook to pull it alternately in front of and behind 2 half treble crochet stitches (UK!). Start slightly next to the middle of the front as it will be tied there later.

If you have done everything right, you can now bind the ribbon at the front of the mermaid tail.

So you prevent the dressed mermaid tail from slipping down the body of the doll.
