A cute brown bear you can crochet with this free pattern. For the little brown bear we crochet head and body in one piece. Then arms, legs, ears and tail are following. If you put all parts together and give your brown bear a pretty face, no one can resist him.
Here you find the size specifications for the crocheted brown bear.
|2,5 mm (shown example)||125m / 50g, 100% Cotton||6cm|
|Häkelnadel 3,0 mm||110m / 50g, 100% Cotton||7,5cm|
The little brown bear we crochet in one piece from top down. Then we crochet all the small parts, like ears, tail, arms and legs. Finally everything is sewn together and you can still attach a few decorations. Here we go!
As already described, we crochet the head and body in one piece. We start to crochet from top with the head and work our way down in spiral rounds. Do not cut the thread when the head is done, because we continue with the body.
Done! You have finished all parts and can put everything together now. To this just attach all parts with pins and look closely at the brown bear. Now you can see exactly if the positions are correct and if you need to change something.
First we sew the ears to the head of the brown bear. The two ears are folded flat without a filling. They are placed with the straight side on the right and the left on the top of the head. Seen from above they are in line through the middle of the head parallel to the eyes.
Now we tie the arms, legs and tail to the body. The arms are placed after the 16th round with 4 stitches distance and the legs after the 23th round below the edge of the stitches with only 3 stitches distance. The tail will be placed exactly in the middle of the back on top of the edge of the stitches.
Here it helps to find the middle between the eyes first and the to attach the arms and the legs to the left and the right of it. It is more important to keep the same distance to the middle as to keep the distance between both parts exactly. To support you, you will find here also a tutorial that shows you how to tie small pieces to an amigurumi.
Next we want to give the brown bear a nice nose. Use the black Darning Yarn and embroider a vertical line at first, starting exactly between the eyes and going to the direction to the chin. Then some stitches around two stitches of the row will follow until the nose has got the desired volume.
If you like you can pimp your Amigurumi brown bear a little bit. I painted red cheeks and tied a matching band around the neck. But there are so many possibilities to pimp a brown bear, just try it out!
Juhu, your brown bear is done and can make his first forays through the dense forest. I´m looking forward to your next visit!
